Crescent Peacock Earrings

These earrings were inspired by a pair made by cutting patterns and openings into the surface of flat sheet gold. The originals are unique in their use of beaded wire, which accents the cross and crescent shape. This example is from the Virginia Museum of Fine Art, but is similar to examples found in the Dumbarton Oaks Collection.
