The Muisca (also called Chibcha) are the indigenous people and culture of the Altiplano Cundiboyacense, Colombia. The Muisca are best known for their skilled goldworking. Frogs (iesua, meaning "food from the Sun" in Muysccubun) and toads were important animals in the concept of nature and the relation with the spiritual world for the Muisca.
