Dumbarton Oaks Wheat Leaf Pearl Necklace

The inspiration for this necklace comes from an original piece from the late 3rd or early 4th century A.D.  The original links are in the shape of double grains of wheat pressed out in gold without backing.  The antique linked chains at the ends may not have been part of the original necklace and the pearls between the links are modern.

Materials: Pewter with gold finish, shell pearls.
