Huipile Oven Mitt
Huipile is the most common traditional garment worn by indigenous women from central Mexico to Central America. Different Mayan groups have different techniques of embroidery or decoration that identify them from other communities. The company Altiplano has been working with indigenous women of Guatemala to help them use their skills to create products to sell outside of their communities. These product help support education, family nutrition, environmental education, and reforestation programs.
