Palm Leaves and Vines Cosmetic Bag – Gaza

The front of this purse is embroidered with palm leaves and vines, and the back has a single leaf accent.  The artisans who embroider these pouches are supported by the Sulafa Embroidery Centre, a United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian in the Near East initiative (UNRWA) initiative.

Sulafa helps the women of Gaza refugee camps preserve the traditions and culture of embroidery, make a living for their families, and passing these essential skills from one generation to the next.
