Parallel Motif Purse – Gaza

The small soft cosmetic bag is embroidered on both sides, fully lined with a top zipper.  The Palestinian artists who embroider these bags are supported by the Sulafa Embroidery Centre, a United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees in the Near East initiative (UNRWA) initiative.

Sulafa helps the women of Gaza refugee camps preserve the traditions and culture of embroidery, make a living for their families, and passing these essential skills from one generation to the next.
