The Shipibo are an indigenous people along the Ucayali River in the Amazon rainforest in Peru.  This hand Shaker has been made with deer rawhide around a small wooden circular form, with plastic beads on threads.   Roll the toy between your fingers and create a drum-like sound.  The geometrical designs are called quene or kené, literally 'symbols of ethnic identity'.  Every human, animal and plant is said to have a unique design.
