“The Wisdom Stone” - Throughout history and around the world, Lapis has played a role. In Persian folklore, the stone was said to be the starry sky shrunken down into a precious gem. In the Middle Ages, it was ground into powder and made into ultramarine, the finest and most expensive of all blue pigments. Ultramarine was used by some of the most important artists of the Renaissance and Baroque, including Masaccio, Perugino, Titian and Vermeer, and was often reserved for the clothing of the central figures of their paintings, especially the Virgin Mary.
KPM Bresolin creates jewelry with natural stones, all their imperfections, and deep vibrant color. Each piece from her Solace collection is one of a kind.
